The temperature at 5:00 AM is 43 degrees.  Wait - this is the Friday before Memorial Day, right?  It's unseasonably cool but that's just fine as it will keep the mosquitoes at bay.

In a remote corner of Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve, near Argonne National Laboratory, is a bird banding site where district ecologists have been banding birds since 2007.
